Installation
Connection Tool for SQL Server requires no installation process. Simply download the program file (or the .zip archive containing the same program file) and run the program. And Connection Tool for SQL Server is small enough to be included on your UBS key drive of useful programs.
Special Note: If you used Version 1.0 and plan to use Version 1.1 you must delete the file ConnectionToolForSQLServer.exe.config found in the same directory as ConnectionToolForSQLServer.exe. The previous config file is not compatible with Version 1.1.
Ever Have One of Those Days
You just deployed a new Classic ASP or ASP.NET application to a new server environment. You call up the application to give it a quick test and BAM! "Unable to connection to database" is all that you are told. This should be a simple problem to resolve.
You go to the application's configuration file, find the connection string, make a tweak, and try the application again. BAM! Still unable to connect. Frustration grows as more attempts are made.
