| White Peak Software implemented an automated build process for Long Island based AmeriCorp. The build process makes use of VMware to provide a clean build environment each time it is run and a scheduled task is configured to run the build process multiple times per day. NAnt is used to retrieve the latest source code from the CVS repository and to build the multiple .NET assemblies, WinForm and web-based applications. Also, a test database is built and unit test are executed during the build process to ensure the quality of the applications prior to more formal QA review. Email notifications are sent out upon completion of the build process to report the success or failure of the build and the build log is posted to an internal web site.
"White Peak Software has automated build processes for other customers as well," says Kirby Turner, President of White Peak Software, "and we implement automated build processes for each of our internal and custom software projects." Recently White Peak Software has started making use of FinalBuilder as one of the tools used to automate build processes, which has made it possible to setup build processes in a shorter amount of time.
