There is some sort of standard, but I think you won't be happy with it.;)

Nevertheless : You did not specify the import problems with your csv.

If you mean an existing csv from one to another : you 're talking about field delimiters such as semicolon or tab or pipe. Killinkcsv can do that. ( F8 )

If you are talking about characterpages, field modifation and others, perhaps you need another piece of software, there are lot's of them , as far as I know the most expensive about $ 400.
The next about $ 50. Perhaps you should give this one a try : [url]http://home.hccnet.nl/s.j.francke/software/software.htm[/url] CSVed written by Sam Francke , language english, a swiss knife and free okay, card ware. But... for good understanding , I bought KillinkCSV because for instance CSVed is not capable to recognize fields enclosed by quotes and linefeed characters included. So you will need both :D

Another freeware one is [url]http://zgspro.com/[/url]TablePro (russian made, english spoken) , lookalike of KillinkCSV,
but Killink is capable of filling fields just like a spreadsheet.

Each one has it's nice points to suit your needs.

I have understand KillinkCSV is a project "on the run" that's why it's in my collection.:)

By re-formatting do you mean re-arranging, adding and deleting columns of data? If so then yes you can do this in Killink CSV manually. Using the combination of copy, paste, column insert and delete you can move data around, but it is manual.

There is no way in Killink CSV to convert, or transform, a CSV file from one format to another in an automated fashion. Short of writing a custom program or script I don't know how this can be accomplished. However, I'll give this some thought as a possible feature for a future version of Killink CSV.

Hi All,

Third time trying this post, ouch, anyway...I am asking if KillinkCSV has the ability to reformat an existing csv file into a csv file that a shopping cart I am working with can understand???

I have a csv file from my supplier with 1700 items, and it needs to be reformatted into a csv format my shopping cart can understand. Why they didn't standardize csv files is beyond me!!!

If it can do it can someone explain how, and if not please let me know what program is available that can.
