| I received an email asking how to open a pipe delimited file using Killink CSV. Unfortunately Version 1.0 does not include support for pipe delimited files by default, but support can be added manually. (Note: Version 1.1 will support pipe and tab delimited files by default.)
To open a pipe delimited file you must first create a new file type. Follow these steps to create a new file type:
1) Launch Killink CSV.
2) Press the F8 key, or select Tools > Options from the menu.
3) Click File Types in the Options windows.
4) Click the New button.
5) Enter "Pipe delimited file" and click OK.
6) Enter "txt" in the Extensions text box.
7) Enter "|" in the Select a delimiter character field.
8) Click OK.
Killink CSV will now be able to open and save pipe delimited text files.
