| I am a website developer who works mainly with ecommerce shopping carts. One of our best selling solutions is a CSV program that imports and exports product and category data. Unfortunately we run into a lot of issues with Excel auto-formatting fields that should be numbers and not handling fields with line breaks in them properly. I have downloaded the trial version of the software and love it and would like to recommend it to customers.
With that said there is one feature I would like to see added. In Excel I have the ability to select a row by clicking on the row number, scroll down to a row further down the page, hold the shift key down, and click the the row number to select the entire range of rows. Also I have the ability in Excel to click on a row and drag the mouse down to select multiple rows. This is the same for columns. If you guys could add this feature it would be great!
Also, do you offer any sort of affiliate sales program if we refer customers to your product?

I agree with you Daniel, you are pointing at ctrl D , including copying characters.
In my point of view also deleting unwanted characters like for instance tab, carriage return and / or linefeed within a description or what soever. Would be a great tool to cleanup files.

No affiliate program yet, but something should be in place in a few weeks. I will let you know once it is ready.

I'm already working on this feature. I was hoping to have to new release ready this weekend but it may take a couple more weeks (I'm going away for a short holiday with the wife and her family).
The search and replace feature will support "special characters". This will allow you to remove those unwanted characters such as tab, carriage return and new line. The special characters can be specified in the search and replace dialog as follows:
^t - represents a tab character
^r - represents a carriage return
^l - (that's an "L") represents a line feed
^n - represents a carriage return / line feed
Disclaimer: The special character list may change. For example, I'm considering ^f for line feed instead of ^l since lower case "L" is hard to distinguish from other characters such as 1 and the | (pipe) character on some computers.

I presume, search and replace, will include a single search option, overall and/or down the column?
How about this : one can insert a row at some position, would it be nice to select a row and move it by for instance ctrl arrow, one line higher or lower , and / or a sorting based on one column ?
It will gonna be a very very nice piece of software .
But priority 1 : have a fine holiday, we are looking forward to the results of your programming  |
