Options allow you to configure Killink CSV to suite your needs. Press F8 or select Tools > Options from the menu to access the Options dialog. Option settings are divided into the following sections:
General Options
| • | Open last file on start - Mark this option will cause Killink CSV to open the last previously opened file when the program starts. |
| • | First row is read-only - Mark this option to make the first row of the editor read only. This setting is handy if you always work with delimited files containing a column header row at the beginning of the file. |
| • | Remember column widths - Mark this option to have column widths reset after opening a file. |
| • | Unhide columns when opening file - Mark this option to show hidden columns after opening a file. This option is only available when the "Remember column widths" option is marked. |
| • | Auto-size columns to best fit - Mark this option to have columns resize based on the size of the column content. This option is not available when the option "Remember column widths" is marked. |
File Type Options
Default Settings
| • | Quote value when - This settings determines when and how values are quoted. |
| • | Append delimiter to end of line - This will append the delimiter character to the end of the line when the delimited file is saved. |
File Types
| • | File Type - Select the file type to modify. |
| • | New Button - Creates a new file type. |
| • | Delete Button - Deletes the selected file type. Note the file type "Comma delimited" cannot be deleted. |
| • | Extensions - Defines the list of file extensions associated to the selected file type. Separate each extension with a semicolon character and do not include the period in front of the extension. |
| • | Select a delimiter character - Select the delimiter character used by the selected file type. |
Updates
| • | Check for updates - Tells Killink CSV how often to check for program updates. Program update checks require an Internet connection. |
| • | Show prompt before updating - Mark this option if you wish to be prompted before the program checks for program updates. |
